Role: Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant
The Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker will assist with daily routines including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting patients with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Serving food and helping with eating
- Making and changing beds
- Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
- Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Supporting patients with toileting needs
- Maintaining cleanliness and supplies in the ward or home
Experience with mobility aids and equipment is beneficial. In hospital settings, you may escort patients between departments and participate in training new staff.
