Our team delivers specialist wound care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, where your expertise will directly impact patients at some of their most vulnerable moments. You’ll work across clinic and domiciliary settings, providing highly specialist assessment, treatment, and management to high-risk, complex wounds, while playing a key role in shaping how care is delivered.

Main duties of the job:
- Provides advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex and high-risk wound care needs, managing a specialist caseload across community clinics and domiciliary settings in South Gloucestershire.
- Develops and delivers evidence-based, personalised care plans, closely monitoring wound progression and identifying early signs of deterioration.
- Utilises digital technology, including an AI-supported wound care app, to remotely review non-healing wounds and ensure timely intervention.
- Acts as a clinical leader within wound care, offering specialist advice to colleagues and partner organisations while supporting service improvement and clinical excellence.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols, ensuring care aligns with best practice.
- Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including participation in secondary care diabetic foot clinics alongside diabetes and vascular specialists, to provide integrated care across BNSSG.
- Builds strong working relationships with stakeholders to support seamless patient pathways.
- Leads on education, training, and mentorship, supporting workforce development through competency frameworks, supervision, and promotion of continuous professional development.
- Works with clinical and operational leads to enhance service delivery, contributing to governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with local and national standards.
