The predicted salary is between 46300 - 52800 £ per year.
The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be accountable for providing strategic leadership on the development and delivery of high-quality clinical pathways and models of care, which will require extensive collaborative working with the wider Clinical Executive team, including the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
You will also chair the Professional Council and lead on professional standards for medical staff, as well as medical workforce governance. The new CMO will be central to developing the overall medical strategy, working closely with voluntary, community and third sector organisations as we continue the move towards preventative and proactive medicine.
External influencing and networking will be an important aspect of the role, helping to maintain strong, mutually credible and trusting alliances with our partners. You will work collaboratively to generate or secure opportunities for research. Success factors include an ability to build strong and effective relationships with clinicians, partners and stakeholders across the wider system, and, as a member of the senior team, you will also be expected to make an expert contribution to setting and delivering wider organisational strategy.
You will be responsible for developing a strong and achievable business plan, overseeing robust financial management, and leading a culture of strong governance and astute risk management. Candidates will be credible, experienced and inspirational senior clinical leaders, with a consistent track record of improving outcomes and addressing health inequalities.
It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to lead across organisation and system boundaries. Sophisticated strategic insight will be combined with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, and you will hold a strong personal commitment to Sirona’s values and culture.
