We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker to join Henderson our 19 bedded rehabilitation Unit in Thornbury. You will benefit from the expertise of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
In post, you will be supporting the therapy team through managing our service users who have been recently discharged from an acute hospital setting and are undertaking a period of assessment and rehabilitation.
Our goal is to ensure our service users and their families have the best experience being supported by us through excellent communication and initiative.

Main duties of the job
- Promote optimum independence through encouraging rehabilitation techniques.
- As a rehab support worker you will be a key figure in completing the day to day rehabilitation with patients under the instruction of the lead therapists. You will be required to provide feedback on the service users’ progress and help to ensure that the service users achieve their maximum potential.
- Undertake a range of delegated clinical and therapy led activities to support the service users on the caseload.
- To provide safe, patient centred, effective and evidence-based clinical activities.
- The post holder will work under direct supervision and be responsible to senior therapists providing one to one and group rehabilitation.
- You will work within the Adult Service to deliver a full range of health and social care activities, both acute and long term, supported by a robust competency framework to adults within the complex assessment beds.
- You will be part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), which includes nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other Allied Healthcare Professionals
- The Service operational Hours are between 08:00 and 18:00 (flexible working can be discussed) with future possibility for weekend cover.
