Ronald Openshaw Nursery Education Centre is a maintained nursery school situated in the heart of Stratford with excellent transport links and is open 38 weeks per year. It is a busy, warm and friendly environment and we would like our Assistant Caretaker to be part of a whole team commitment.
Main Requirements:- Assisting the Site Supervisor with the general maintenance and upkeep of premises and grounds, undertaking minor repairs and liaising with the Site Supervisor to ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety are upheld at all times.
- Ensuring the highest cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Responsibility for site security, alarm systems and key holding arrangements. This includes unlocking the premises and doing the necessary safety checks before staff arrive, and locking the premises at the end of the day.
- Good communication and organisation skills to support the smooth running of the school.
- You will be working 16 hours per week on a split shift basis. You should be flexible and adaptable and be on-call for emergencies.
