We are delighted to be working with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation at an exciting period of growth and transformation, to appoint a newly created role for their business, People Engagement Officer. This is a genuinely unique and varied role for someone who cares deeply about people, culture and the employee experience, and wants to make a real and lasting difference.
The role will include:
- Leading the employee engagement survey process, forums, focus groups and other feedback channels, and translating insight into clear, practical action plans
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure actions are owned, delivered and followed through
- Supporting site and functional leaders to turn organisation-wide themes into meaningful local plans
- Coordinating people communications, including the HR newsletter, ensuring messages are clear, timely and accessible to all colleagues
- Maintaining the employee engagement calendar, connecting events and initiatives to the organisation's wider strategy, culture and values
- Supporting the people side of transformation and change initiatives, contributing to the Transformation Working Group
- Helping embed culture and values into People processes, bringing an employee experience lens to process design
- Spotting practical opportunities to reinforce culture through communications, leadership routines and everyday people activity
About you:
- Your experience could be in HR, employee engagement, people communications, organisational transformation, project management, culture or employee experience
- You will have a strong ability to turn qualitative employee feedback and insight into clear themes and practical actions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to make complex or sensitive topics feel human and accessible
- Experience supporting change initiatives from a people, communications or adoption perspective
- Strong project management discipline with the ability to bring structure without over-complicating things
- A good understanding of how People processes shape employee experience, culture and behaviour
- An interest in and enthusiasm for technology, as many of the changes you will support will have both people and technology implications
- Due to the uniqueness of this role, your qualifications could be as CIPD, internal communications, change management or organisational development, though practical experience and judgement will be valued above all
The package:
- Alongside a salary of up to £49,500 dependent on experience, our client offers an outstanding benefits package including:
- Discretionary bonus of up to 20% based on personal and company performance
- South East Allowance of £2,172 per annum
- Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) worth up to £4,000 paid out after 3 years’ service
- Private medical insurance with the option to include a partner or children
- Matched pension contribution up to 10%
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
- Overtime paid at 1.5x base salary
- 37 hours with 3.30 finish on Friday and typical 8-4 pm although other patterns considered
- Hybrid working around business needs, 2 days from home with some travel to other sites typical once per month
