This role has been designed with flexibility in mind:

  • It can be structured as one full-time role (3 days in Mid-Kent, 2 days in London) or
  • Two part-time roles (3 days per week), one near Maidstone and one in London City

We are exclusively partnering with a long-established, highly successful, privately owned business to appoint a Senior HR Advisor in a newly created role, allowing progression within the HR team and to support their continued growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, HR role within a well-established, people-focused organisation known for its longevity, success and long employee tenure, as well as commitment to service excellence. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in delivering effective HR support across the business, supporting managers, enhancing employee engagement and ensuring best practice across all HR activities.

The organisation operates within the travel industry, in a fast-paced, customer-driven, sales environment and has built its reputation on quality, relationships and consistency over several decades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support across the business, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all employee-related matters
  • Support a full range of employee relations casework, including absence, disciplinaries, grievances and performance management
  • Lead and support investigations, hearings and note-taking processes
  • Monitor and manage absence, including long-term cases and return-to-work processes
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
  • Promote best practice and contribute to a positive, inclusive employee experience
  • Support employee well-being and engagement initiatives

About You

You will be a credible and approachable HR professional with solid HR experience and a strong grounding in employee relations and up-to-date employment law knowledge. You are confident working with managers at all levels, balancing commercial awareness with empathy and sound judgement.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) desirable but not essential
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience within the travel sector, a customer-led or commercial/sales environment would be advantageous.
