Do you have a passion for providing HR support to help manage your organisation's people, foster a positive environment and align HR practices to your company’s objectives and values? You will be reporting to a People Director and working within a team of 7 in HR. As HR Officer, you will be joining at an exciting period of transformation and will be part of a programme of change, focussed on supporting well-being and inclusion by engaging and developing leaders at all levels.

Some responsibilities of HR Officer:

  • Provide support and training on policies and procedures.
  • Continue to develop appropriate communication links to enhance the overall HR provision with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offer guidance to HRIS users on how to navigate the system, input data correctly, generate reports, and troubleshoot common issues.
  • Promote the apprenticeship levy.
  • Facilitate and coach managers on resolving and leading ER cases and routine absence management.
  • Work alongside the Payroll Team to ensure the timely process of contractual changes (e.g. fixed term contracts, family leave, variations to contracts, leavers and salary increases) in line with processing deadlines.
  • Analyse HR data and generate insightful reports for management decision making, including employee demographics, turnover rates, workforce trends, probationary periods and other key metrics to identify patterns, measure HR performance, and inform strategic initiatives.
  • Routine monitoring of right to work and visa/permit arrangements.
  • Monitor current staff/family members who require DBS rechecks.

Your qualification: CIPD Level 3 in HR, business administration or related field, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organised nature and your ability to manage changing priorities will ensure your success in this HR Officer role.
