We are supporting an established organisation, committed to Investors in People accreditation, in the appointment of a senior HR Manager to lead and shape the HR function at a strategic level. Part of a wider international group, this role offers real scope to influence at a local level.
This senior HR Manager position goes beyond day-to-day HR delivery — it requires a confident, commercially minded HR professional who can set direction, influence leaders, and embed a high-performance culture.
The senior HR Manager role:
- Lead the end-to-end HR function, providing strategic and operational leadership across the organisation
- Design and deliver a people strategy aligned to business objectives and the Investors in People framework
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, constructively challenging and influencing at all levels
- Drive consistency, capability and accountability in people management
- Lead and develop the HR team and associated services
- Oversee employee relations, reward, performance management, workforce planning and organisational change
- Use data and insight to improve decision-making, capability and engagement
- Collaborate with international stakeholders on group-wide people initiatives
About you:
- Proven experience leading an HR function at Manager / Head-of Level, with clear ownership of strategy and delivery
- Strong commercial acumen and the credibility to operate as part of the leadership team
- Deep knowledge of employment law and best-practice HR frameworks
- Confident in leading change, improving processes and raising standards
- Pragmatic, hands‑on and outcomes focused, with gravitas and presence
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
- Manufacturing, engineering or similar sector experience is highly desirable, as is experience working with Investors in People
