Very Competitive Salary up to £45,000 DOE
Our client is a precision engineering manufacturer looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be the quality gatekeeper for their operation, working across inspection protocols, customer liaison, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in precision engineering and quality systems will directly shape the company's reputation and delivery.
- Lead inspection and pass-off activities using Roma Arm scanner, standard inspection equipment and PCDemis CMM system.
- Drive quality improvements through 8D investigations and APQP processes.
- Support new projects from trial builds through to implementation into production.
- Produce regular reports.
- Create tool trial reports.
- Complete feasibility studies for new tooling.
- Create and maintain SOPs and WIs.
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Inspector.
- Hands-on experience with Roma Arm scanner and all inspection equipment.
- PCDemis software programming skills.
- Solid grounding in APQP, FAIRS, and 8D investigation methodologies.
- Proven track record in precision engineering inspection and pass-off procedures for FAIR preparation.
- Strong customer-facing skills, and confident communicating quality findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider quality team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Any Engineering Qualification.
- Hands-on experience is more important than a Quality-based qualification.
