Payroll/Credit Control in Rugby

Type: Permanent, Full-Time  Salary: £30,000 - £35,000  DOE Location: Rugby We are working with a group head office, to recruit for a Payroll and Credit Control Clerk to join their existing Accounts Department.   Reporting to the Directors, the role will involve, but not be limited to: Full responsibility for day-to-day credit control across multiple company accounts.  Collating all required data to ensure payroll is run smoothly and without errors. Maintain accurate financial records. Support end-to-end payroll processing including time sheet validation. Liaise with employees and payroll partners to resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally. Process staff expenses and maintain compliant payroll records with full digital audit history. Maintain financial documentation in line with internal controls, HMRC and other compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with policies, credit control procedures, and relevant legislations. Person Specification Essential Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent organisation and time management; able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Clear, confident communicator; collaborative and client-focused. Self-starter mindset: reliable, proactive, adaptable. Knowledge of Sage and strong Excel skills.  Desirable Experience of working in a payroll environment  AAT qualification or working towards a finance-related qualification. Exposure to group manufacturing / engineering environments.
