The role & what you'll be doing
Sirius Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a steel fabrication business in Pontefract, who are looking to strengthen their shopfloor team with a CNC Laser Operator. Key responsibilities include:
- Running the CNC laser machine as efficiently as possible, aiming for factory speeds without compromising quality
- Minimising machine stoppages and downtime
- Carrying out basic quality checks by measuring parts against customer drawings
- Accurately recording quantities produced on job sheets
- Moving raw materials to and from designated storage areas, maintaining identification of offcuts
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy work area
- Highlighting any health & safety concerns to the Works Manager
