Permanent Role 40 hours per week Monday - Friday - 14:00-22:00
Our client is a forward thinking, fast paced sub-contract sheet metal working company, well established in Cannock. Due to an influx of orders, they are now looking to recruit for a Factory General Hand.
The Factory General Hand will be confident and able to multi-task, undertaking a variety of tasks on the shop floor, including:
- Deburring - using techniques such as polishing and blending.
- Hand Press Operating
- Using air tools
- Performing other duties as required.
The ideal candidate for the Factory General Hand will:
- Have an awareness of Health & Safety on the shop floor
- Preferably be able to read and understand components of engineering drawings.
- Have an eye for detail, and ability to pay attention to finishing detail.
- Be dextrous and able to use hand tools.
- Work under their own initiative and proactively, with minimal supervision.
The Factory General Hand can also expect to receive training, based on their competency in the role, on other machinery / departments within the factory.
