We are currently working with an established sub-contract sheet metalworking business based in Redditch, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Engineer's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Maintaining Quality manuals, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and develop QHSE policies, procedures and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct supplier audits.
  • Review all quality debit notes in a timely fashion.
  • Undertaking a hands-on inspection role to ensure components are produced to the customer specification.
  • Support APQP and PPAP activities.

The ideal candidate for the Quality Engineer will have:

  • Ideally held a similar role.
  • Come from a solid engineering background.
  • Ideally have an Engineering qualification (HNC or HND or higher).
  • A good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Good customer facing skills.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings in various formats.
  • Experience of working in a hands-on inspection role and be competent using all relevant equipment.
