We are currently working with an established sub-contract sheet metalworking business based in Redditch, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Engineer's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Maintaining Quality manuals, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Manage and develop QHSE policies, procedures and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct supplier audits.
- Review all quality debit notes in a timely fashion.
- Undertaking a hands-on inspection role to ensure components are produced to the customer specification.
- Support APQP and PPAP activities.
The ideal candidate for the Quality Engineer will have:
- Ideally held a similar role.
- Come from a solid engineering background.
- Ideally have an Engineering qualification (HNC or HND or higher).
- A good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Good customer facing skills.
- The ability to read engineering drawings in various formats.
- Experience of working in a hands-on inspection role and be competent using all relevant equipment.
