You will oversee commercial Property and Casualty claim handling related to SiriusPoint Programs/MGAs, whether in‐house or through third‐party administrators. The role includes providing authority to settle and reserve claims above retentions, auditing and monitoring claim handling, performing initial and annual due diligence of claim handling entities, and ensuring ongoing compliance with contract terms, program guidelines, and internal policies. You will report to the Head of North America MGA and Programs Claims.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of claim handling entities to ensure authority is not breached, accurate reporting, appropriate coverage, compliant consumer and customer service, and a current quality auditing program.
  • Work with Program Managers to onboard, design, and implement procedures, and manage day‐to‐day technical and operational aspects of U.S. P&C Program/MGA business within allocated workload.
  • Ensure compliance with claims handling processes for U.S. entities.
  • Evaluate reserves on specific claims and monitor adequacy at portfolio and individual claim levels.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate claims reports, including trend analysis, claim lifecycle improvement, and indemnity containment measures.
  • Interpret contract coverage upon referral from the Program/MGA to determine liability and extent of participation in claims.
  • Provide instruction and ongoing management of independent experts.
  • Ensure all claims work follows Company policies and procedures, within assigned Claims Authority.
  • Adhere strictly to claims escalation authorities and triage/report claims efficiently to the relevant person.
  • Maintain cooperation and regular interaction with functions across SiriusPoint, including Senior Management, Compliance, Underwriters, and Actuarial team.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with brokers, ceding companies, lawyers, and loss adjusters in connection with claims matters.
  • Monitor risk arising from claims programs against SiriusPoint risk appetite/tolerances; promptly escalating risk events and facilitating actions to address matters.
  • Potential opportunity to consult on MGA/Program claims outside the U.S. as part of a global Claims Team.
  • Travel as required for audits, team meetings, or industry events.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant claims adjusting or leadership experience (10‐15 years) within Casualty, Property, and specialty lines (Professional Lines). Preferred if within these lines.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development through seminars, courses, and professional networks.
  • Ability to make sound decisions within accepted claims turnaround practices.
  • Analytical skills to use claims data for strategic decisions at claim and portfolio levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional representation of the company and its clients in the market.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Team player with mentorship capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent. Additional insurance‐related certificates preferred.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
