We are seeking an Exposure Manager to lead framework design, execution and exposure reporting for SiriusPoint Group and all legal entities. The candidate will be a leader in portfolio risk management and ensure that all global exposures are well understood, modelled and proactively managed.

The Exposure Manager will support the Global Head of Exposure Management to:

  • Deliver the Exposure Management strategy for SiriusPoint Group and all legal entities, including SIMA;
  • Oversee Exposure Management data capture, aggregations, concentrations of risk and reporting procedures;
  • Lead on the development of exposure management processes and tools for new & existing lines of business;
  • Provide information, insights, and analytics to the business on an individual risk and portfolio basis;
  • Monitor accumulation risk against Group and legal entity limits / thresholds;
  • Develop, champion and continuously improve the Exposure Management framework, including all policies, procedures and process documentation;
  • Provide exposure management feeds and validation for the Group and Syndicate Capital Models;
  • Deliver relevant exposure management reports; including Lloyd’s and regulatory returns, reports to relevant committees, the Board, and third parties;
  • Respond to any inquiries from regulators and rating agencies;
  • Step in where required to represent the Exposure Management function internally and externally at appropriate committees and forums;
  • Maintain minimum standards (RIO) for SIMA Syndicate 1945 in respect of Exposure Management;
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.

Your skills and abilities should include:

  • Strong communication to regularly deliver analytics to executive management including Executive Leadership Team, P&L Leaders and Product Heads;
  • A track record of developing, implementing, and maintaining effective solutions in the exposure management space;
  • Thorough working knowledge of processes and procedures in respect of catastrophe modelling systems;
  • Knowledge & experience with modelling, data & tracking exposure platforms such as Sequel impact, Praedicat, Skytek, Orchestra etc. is preferred;
  • Depth of understanding of appropriate classes of insurance; experience in non-modelled lines of business and Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS) modelling is preferred;
  • Demonstrable skills with analytic tools, technologies and SQL programming; an additional programming language (R/Python/VBA) would be a bonus;
  • Experience working within a regulated company (PRA/FCA) with a solid understanding of Lloyd’s and regulatory compliance requirements;
  • The ability to collaborate and develop trusted working relationships with stakeholders and other team members;
  • Effective time management skills and a willingness to work on multiple projects with multiple stakeholders, in a rapidly changing environment;
  • A keen focus on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail;
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
