We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Operational Analysis & Data Science team as we go through our next phase of growth. As a Senior Data Science Consultant, your role will be crucial in delivering informed, client-focused decision support across a diverse range of industries, including the UK MOD. You'll participate in projects that demand a keen ability to assess, analyse, and meet client-specific needs.
You will play a major role in developing and implementing Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for our clients, along with providing key advice around innovation and new techniques to stakeholders. You will be designing solutions for complex challenges and will integrate code with software engineers.
- Leading and delivering technical consulting projects.
- Developing and delivering AI / ML solutions using a range of techniques (ML, NLP, LLMs, etc.)
- Building new relationships and maintaining current customer relationships.
Senior Data Scientist: 5+ years experience, including taking AI/ML projects into production.
- Ability to understand, describe and apply a range of data science techniques to real world problems.
- Experience in managing data and implementing data science processes.
- Python expertise covering standard data science libraries (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.), web frameworks (Flask or FastAPI) and visualisation (Dash, Plotly, & Streamlit).
- Working with unstructured data.
- Building customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Be willing to travel across the UK and comfortable to work away from home for periods of time.
- Software engineering principles, git, docker, TTD.
- LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI (e.g. Computer Vision, AI for audio and speech).
