Sirius Academy West is seeking a friendly and efficient Pastoral Support Officer (non‑teaching) to join the Pastoral Team. The role provides comprehensive administrative, pastoral and welfare support to Academy students. It requires flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs.
Responsibilities:
- Establish good relationships with students and act as a role model, supporting senior staff in maintaining a positive learning climate.
- Promote the Academy’s core values at all times.
- Build effective relationships with parents/carers and manage potential conflicts by negotiating positively on behalf of the Academy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal authoritatively and sensitively with young people.
- Previous experience in schools is not essential – apply if you have the right skills.
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary: Grade 7, Point 20 (£32,597) – Point 24 (£35,412), pro rata for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus five additional training days (39 weeks per year).
