About Us

We are a boutique consultancy operating in the UK energy sector, building an AI-powered data triangulation platform to help energy networks integrate, reconcile, and derive insight from complex, multi-source infrastructure data. This is a high-impact product at the intersection of AI, infrastructure analytics, and enterprise software. You will work directly with the Product Manager & AI Department Lead to help shape and deliver the front-end of this platform.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer with strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS to architect and build the user interface of our AI tool. The candidate also needs to understand how to deploy on GCP Cloud Run and needs to have experience using Version control systems such as GitHub. Auth0 integration experience is also a plus. This is not a feature-maintenance role — you will play a key role in defining the front-end architecture and translating complex AI outputs into intuitive, production-grade user experiences for technical energy stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using Next.js (App Router preferred)
  • Develop responsive, accessible UI with Tailwind CSS
  • Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and AI-driven backend services
  • Design and implement data-heavy dashboards and visualizations
  • Optimize performance (SSR/SSG, hydration strategies, bundle size)
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, backend developers, and product leadership
  • Contribute to sprint planning and technical decision-making

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of strong React.js experience
  • Proven production experience with Next.js
  • Deep knowledge of Tailwind CSS and modern UI systems
  • Strong understanding of front-end architecture and performance optimization
  • Experience integrating APIs and handling complex state management
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, contractor-style environments

Highly Desirable:

  • TypeScript
  • Experience working on AI/ML-powered products
  • Enterprise or infrastructure-sector experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Product-oriented mindset
  • Strong communicator able to collaborate cross-functionally
  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured solutions
  • Systems thinker who understands how front-end interacts with AI and backend architecture

Full-time (40 hours per week) Potential extension based on roadmap progress
