We are looking for a driven, passionate and ambitious person at the start of their career to join our sales team, getting beer into some of our country’s best independent pubs, bars, restaurants and retailers. You will be supporting our Regional Sales Managers by ensuring their customers are never short of stock, while contributing to prospecting, checking in with our long-standing accounts, and keeping the beer flowing day‑to‑day. The position will be based at our brewery near Reading. Siren is an independent brewery based near Reading, with an excellent reputation for making beers ranging from everyday favourites to premium, barrel‑aged products. We’re looking for organised, determined people who are keen to learn and develop while championing indie beer in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
- This is an entry level role in our sales function, which could suit anyone interested in starting or developing a career in drinks sales. You’ll be learning on the job with the guidance of our experienced team, gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence grows.
- Picking up the phone every day to speak with customers, take orders and keep stock moving.
- Checking in with existing accounts on a regular basis to drive repeat orders and identify opportunities.
- Get to know our range, to talk about our beers with confidence and make recommendations that convert into sales.
- Collaborate with sales operations and marketing teams to keep everything aligned.
- Learn how to build strong working relationships with customers.
- Keep on top of your call lists, following up and staying organised.
- Support the team with prospecting, finding the right venues for Siren.
- Logging calls, interactions and meetings accurately.
- Own your targets and personal development objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- This is a ‘foot‑in‑the‑door’ sales role, so years of experience is not necessary. However, you will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, tenacity and a willingness to learn.
- Organised and reliable, able to manage your schedule.
- Motivated by targets and focused on hitting activity and sales KPIs.
- Confident in communicating, not afraid to pick up the phone.
- Genuinely interested in beer, hospitality or independent business.
- Within commutable distance of our brewery just South of Reading.
- Keen to develop your sales skills and progress within the team.
