Sir William Romney’s School is a comprehensive 11‑16 school in Tetbury, Cotswolds. We are looking for a Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher of Design & Technology (DT). The role is part‑time (0.8FTE), maternity position starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons to students of all abilities in Key Stages 3 & 4, oversee the DT curriculum, and model a positive role for students.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design and implement the DT curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach GCSE DT with a specialism in DT Products and provide support for GCSE DT Graphics as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, whole‑class feedback, and ensure consistent pedagogical best practice.
- Adhere to the school’s behaviour policy and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in the SWR lesson model, promoting teacher autonomy while maintaining high pedagogical standards.
- Attend relevant CPD and professional development sessions offered within the Trust.
Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) preferred.
- Specialisation in DT Products and a working knowledge of GCSE DT Graphics are desirable.
- Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 is advantageous.
