Teacher of English

Purpose

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our dedicated English department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and ambitious department.

The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with sound subject knowledge and a love for teaching English. This could be an ideal role for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to further their career in an ambitious and creative environment.

Principle Accountabilities:

To achieve success, the post holder will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons, that inspire, challenge and engage pupils
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment where all pupils can achieve their potential.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, using assessment information to inform teaching.
• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share good practice and improve outcomes for pupils.
• Undertake pastoral responsibilities and contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, educational visits, events and undertake the role of base tutor.
