We are currently looking to hire an experienced Joiner to join our project at Sellafield on the KDP8 Framework. In the 155 years since our foundation, Sir Robert McAlpine has worked on some of the country's most iconic buildings and projects. The Joiner Role:
- Using DOKA shuttering systems
- Performing general joinery duties
- Fixing screed rails and making timber boxouts
- Installing en-cast items
- Ensuring accuracy and precision in shuttering carpentry
- Following all health and safety and wellbeing policies
- Full commitment to actively promote all aspects of Build Sure and SRM values, culture and behaviours throughout the project.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- CSCS Blue card (with relevant carpentry & Formwork VQ)
- Using various power tools
- Previous experience in Reinforced Cement Concrete works
- Previous experience with DOKA shutter system formwork
- Other aspect of general joinery will be required
- Manual handling
- IOSH Working Safely
- Harness Wearer Training
- Face Fit Tested
- Asbestos Awareness
- Working at Heights training
- Strong communication skills
- Have a positive working culture with consistent behaviours and conduct – an assessment may be carried out as part of the interview selection process
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Full UK driving license, transport to work
- Experience of working in a nuclear environment.
- IPAF Card categories 3a and 3b (scissor lift and cherry picker)
