We have an exciting opportunity for a Works Supervisor to join our dynamic team on the M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. As a key member of our contract team, you will report directly to the Major Maintenance Manager and play a vital role in our success. This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract until late 2027.

- Organizing and coordinating all logistical operations for major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Liaising with Autolink and external organizations for inspections and maintenance schemes, managing various work packages that may require night or weekend shifts.
- Conducting site reviews of Major Maintenance Scope of Works before project commencement.
- Ensuring subcontractors have up-to-date CSCS and CPCS cards relevant to their roles.
- Implementing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensuring all necessary checks are completed and documented.
- Managing subcontractors in line with CMS requirements and documenting meeting minutes and actions promptly.
- Liaising with various stakeholders, including the Employer's Agent and Emergency Services, to address any arising issues.
- Reporting any health and safety breaches immediately and ensuring compliance with SRM procedures.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience in the Highways Maintenance Sector with a solid understanding of relevant processes.
- Knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with software packages such as Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS.
- A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
