Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.
We are looking for an experienced Induction Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee all site inductions of subcontractors.

The Induction Manager role
A member of the project team reporting to the Senior Works Manager, you will be responsible for the organisation, coordination and delivery of all site inductions for subcontractors, staff and visitors. An important aspect of the inductions will be to evidence compliance with SRMs health & safety regulations and company procedures. Your role will involve, but not be limited to effective communication on the following:
- Comprehensive and interactive site inductions.
- Compliance with statutory and company procedures, including health & safety and environmental standards.
- Engagement with all members of the project team to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Managing and directing the induction process, including planning and scheduling inductions.
- Understanding the status of the Project and ensuring the delivery of the induction represents is up to date.
- Working with Project team to provide communication updates, including but not limited to site notice boards and SRM digital systems to support operative messaging on Buildsure initiatives.
- Support delivery of Green Skills training to operatives onsite.
Your profile:
- Work experience within the construction industry is of benefit, but not essential.
- A good understanding on the importance of health & safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Experience in managing site inductions and ensuring compliance is of benefit, but not essential.
- Outgoing, engaging personality with excellent communication & organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in the delivery of positive presentations with a group of people and being able to 'hold' an audience to deliver key project messages.
- Inclusive and capable of engagement with mixed audiences.
