Reporting to the Senior Geospatial Engineer, we are looking for a Geospatial Engineer to join us on a state‑of‑the‑art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium‑ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site‑wide external works.
As a member of the project team, you will work closely with the Project Engineer and Site Managers to support and provide technical information which includes setting out, levelling and surveying of all construction elements.
Key Responsibilities- Geospatial Management: Oversee all geospatial activities to ensure full compliance with project and site requirements.
- Quality Assurance & As‑Built Documentation: Maintain QA records and produce accurate, timely As‑Built documentation in line with company standards.
- Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports for both internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Survey Support: Provide geospatial surveying support to the SRM team, including establishing and supplying precise setting‑out data.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project management to advise on geospatial matters and undertake survey work directly when required.
- Survey Control: Establish, verify, and maintain survey control networks, issuing updates and reports as necessary.
- Data Management: Ensure all geospatial survey data is captured accurately, securely stored, and maintained in line with company protocols. Keep up‑to‑date records of site surveys and ensure relevant stakeholders can easily access required geospatial information.
Your profile:
- Experience in delivery of Geospatial Engineering within the construction industry.
- Technical qualifications in construction related subject or trade recognised qualifications which could include HND, City & Guilds, etc.
- A good practical understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- A good understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction software packages preferably Trimble business centre and AutoCAD.
