Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.

The Works Manager role is a senior member of the project team reporting to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for organisation and coordination of all logistical operations and procedures, in order to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency and safety in both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project.

  • Assist the Project Manager by ensuring all staff, operatives and supply chain partners attend site inductions.
  • Manage and direct the construction-based logistics, plan for materials orders, sub-contractor and plant availability.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, across all functions including quality, health and safety and environmental.

Your profile:

  • Extensive work experience within the Construction Industry.
  • Proven working experience of supervising on site works.
  • Good knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules and regulations and quality standards.
  • A good understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Prior healthcare experience is desirable.
