The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

SRM are preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works to be undertaken will involve heavy construction/ civil engineering works across a variety of industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, commencing initially with a series of enabling works ahead of the main programme of works commencing Q3: 2025.

If you are a Civil Engineer with experience working on large multi-million-pound multi-disciplinary projects, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Team in Port Talbot to work on an interesting, complex and technically challenging project. The project value will be in excess of £200m and will be undertaken under an NEC form of contract.

The Assistant Planner role

  • Be part of a planning team, reporting to the project-based Planning Manager.
  • Assist with development and validation of site programmes.
  • Integration and updating of programmes within SRM master programmes.
  • Establish and collate progress records, Performance Indicators, dashboards, etc.

Your profile

  • A construction-related diploma or degree qualification
  • Good understanding of building sequencing
  • Working knowledge of 3D models and preferably Synchro
  • Competent in the use of Powerproject
  • Good understanding of planning, programming, and progress reporting
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written
  • Experience of working with a main contractor
