Role Overview
Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state‑of‑the‑art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase involves the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium‑ion battery facility, ancillary buildings and site‑wide external works.
Responsibilities
- Be a recognised Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness focusing on profit and cash.
- Work together to input into Work Scope Documents / Procurement of Enabling Work Packages with the Client Procurement Team.
- Have prior experience with CM projects.
- Manage a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account.
- Minimise risk and cost, maximise value through cost checking and analysis of labour, plant and materials.
Your Profile
- Large scale major project experience / Construction Management experience.
- Prior or current experience working for a Tier 1 contractor.
- Strategy: can disseminate a breadth of internal and external data and apply sound judgement regarding the strategic direction of the business.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or a related subject.
