The school operates a pastoral structure led by Crew Directors (Heads of Year), overseeing student wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance across Years 7–11 and Sixth Form. At Sir John Talbot's School, a Crew is a Tutor Group. The Crew Inclusion Leader (CIL) Post 16 (Pastoral Student Support) works alongside the Sixth Form Crew Director.

Grade: 7 (SCP 12‑17) (Currently £28,598 to £31,022 Per Annum) (Pro Rata) Permanent Term Time plus 2 days Required for 1st September 2026
