1.0FTE from January 2027 (Maternity Cover) - Main Pay Range
We are seeking to appoint a creative and passionate Teacher of Art (1.0FTE, however, we welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time working hours) to join our Technology & Art Faculty at Sir John Nelthorpe School from January 2027. This exciting opportunity will involve teaching Art and Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Additionally, there is a requirement to teach Art at Key Stage 5.
Sir John Nelthorpe School is a vibrant and thriving secondary school that caters to pupils aged 11-19, with a sixth form. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
- Teach Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Develop and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that challenge and support pupils.
- Support the wider creative ethos of the school and contribute to extracurricular activities.

- Has a passion for Art and is committed to teaching and nurturing pupils'creativity.
- Has the flexibility and enthusiasm to teach across a range of subjects within the Technology & Art Faculty. Is able to motivate and inspire pupils, encouraging their academic and personal growth.

- Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is eager to develop professionally.
