About the Role

This is an incredibly exciting time to join Sir John Nelthorpe School. As we launch Psychology as a brand-new subject within our curriculum at Key Stage 4, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Psychology (0.6 FTE) to help drive this subject forward. Although the course is new to the school, it has already proven to be exceptionally popular with our students at KS5, capturing their interest and becoming a high-demand option at KS4. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who can harness this existing momentum to deliver high-quality teaching at KS4, with the opportunity to expand into KS5 for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can build on the initial success and popularity of the subject.
  • Have the deep subject knowledge required to shape a developing curriculum.
  • Possess a passion for Psychology that inspires curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Be able to teach GCSE Psychology, with the desire and ability to contribute to A-Level delivery as the subject grows.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
