Do you have a strong commitment to supporting pupils' well-being and helping them reach their full potential?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Services Officer to join our team.

This key role involves providing essential pastoral and behavioural supervision and support to pupils working in the inclusion facility, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and ensuring they have access to high quality education.

The role involves both pastoral care & behavioural support.

You will provide daily support to pupils, addressing personal, social, or emotional and attendance issues that may affect their school life and academic progress.

You will also work with pupils to promote positive behaviour, implementing strategies and interventions for those facing behavioural challenges.

The role is crucial in the school, you will build strong relationships with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil’s well-being and development.

Excellent time management and organisational skills and good literacy, numeracy & ICT skills are also essential.

Previous experience working with young people, particularly in a pastoral or behavioural support role (preferably within a school environment) would be beneficial but not essential.

You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures is essential.

The successful candidate will need a calm, patient, and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with challenging situations or behaviour.
