As a teacher at our sixth form college, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire academic excellence and independent thinking. You will support students aged 16-19 studying an Alternative Academic Qualification (AAQ) in ICT, helping them achieve their full potential. Collaboration with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and tailored support is essential. This role also involves contributing to the wider college community through enrichment activities and academic mentoring.
Sir John Deane's seeks to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to the work of this thriving department. We welcome applications from both early career teachers and teachers with experience. Experience in teaching on BTEC ICT or AAQ ICT is desirable but not an essential requirement; however, we are seeking to appoint an individual with a strong background in ICT who loves to teach and who has a passion for all aspects of the subject. The successful candidate should have the ability to teach across other level 3 programmes, such as BTEC Business or A level Business. A full ECT programme is offered at the College in the same way as schools, this means you will be fully qualified to advance your future career.
