About the School
Lift New Rickstones is graded ‘Good’ (November 2023) and has a state‑of‑the‑art building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last eight years the school has seen a huge increase in student numbers, more than doubling enrolment. It is oversubscribed and has added a new building to meet demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high quality classroom supervision across all subjects, ensuring students continue to learn, thrive and make progress during planned and unplanned teacher absences.
- Maintain classroom routines, behaviour management, safeguarding, and support learning objectives.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and support team to deliver a high standard of education.
- Prepare classroom materials and support resources for use during coverage.
Training and Development
- Complete full week induction covering behaviour management, safeguarding, classroom routines, and core teaching tools.
- Observe experienced teachers and gain hands‑on experience with teaching and learning resources.
- Receive ongoing support and coaching to develop confidence and classroom skills.
- Opportunity to join the Lift Schools Teacher Training Programme for career progression.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation or currently studying for a degree.
- Experience in a teaching or educational support role is advantageous.
