Join Our Team as a Teaching Head of Year at Lift Firth Park! We are recruiting two teaching heads of year to support academic and pastoral development for students aged 11–16. This role combines classroom instruction with pastoral leadership and is ideal for educators keen to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact during an exciting phase of school transformation.

Eligibility & Experience

  • QTS and secondary school teaching experience are essential.
  • Maths, English, Science and Business teachers are particularly sought after, but candidates from other subject areas are welcome.
  • A strong desire to contribute to change and help drive progress within the school.
  • A compassionate yet resilient communicator, capable of managing student behaviour, identifying individual needs and addressing barriers to success.
  • Previous pastoral experience is a plus, but not essential.

Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11–16 in Sheffield. With around 1,200 pupils, our diverse community includes over a third of students who speak English as an additional language. The school is currently undergoing a transformational change, creating a lively and inclusive culture that supports ambitious educational goals.
