About the School: Lift New Rickstones is a state-of-the-art academy with a ‘Good’ rating (November 2023). The school has experienced significant growth, with student numbers more than doubling over the last eight years, and offers excellent facilities for both staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities: The Pastoral Leader will take a proactive role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance of our students, ensuring they thrive personally and academically.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Has experience working with young people and motivating them to achieve their best
- Has knowledge of Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) and experience of leading SEMH interventions
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can stay calm under pressure and manage complex situations, including behaviour incidents, with empathy and professionalism
- Has a genuine commitment to supporting students’ personal development, wellbeing and safeguarding
- Is confident working with staff, families and external agencies to support students
- Can use data or is willing to develop skills to track and improve behaviour and attendance
- Works well as part of a team and can also use their initiative to make a positive impact
