About the role: We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Reception Teacher and Early Years Lead to take on a pivotal role within our vibrant and inclusive school community. This is a unique opportunity to combine outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership, guiding the development of our entire Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Responsibilities:
- Lead and teach a Reception class, ensuring children develop strong foundations for learning.
- Take overall responsibility for the nursery provision, ensuring highâquality care, learning, and development across both settings.
- Provide strategic leadership across the EYFS, driving consistency, quality, and high expectations.
- Lead, support, and develop the Early Years team to deliver outstanding provision.
- Shape and implement a rich, ambitious Early Years curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Ensure smooth transitions between nursery and Reception, creating continuity in children's learning journeys.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in early years education.
- Extensive experience in Early Years education.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire staff.
- A clear vision for highâquality EYFS and nursery provision.
- Excellent understanding of child development in the early years.
- A nurturing, calm, and highly reflective approach to teaching.
- The ability to balance outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership responsibility.
