We are looking for a dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to inspire students to engage critically with the world’s religions and ethical questions. You will deliver engaging lessons and develop critical thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons exploring the beliefs, practices, and moral dilemmas in various religious traditions.
  • Create an environment of open dialogue and critical thinking, encouraging students to explore their own beliefs and values while respecting those of others.
  • Cover diverse topics, including ethics, philosophy and social justice, to develop students’ moral and spiritual awareness.
  • Support students in developing their analytical and evaluative skills by studying sacred texts, historical events and contemporary issues.
  • Organise and facilitate visits to places of worship, guest speaker sessions and interfaith dialogues to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of different faith traditions.
