This is a new Head of Year role; we are looking for a teacher with a specialism in English, Maths or Geography.
Responsibilities
- As Head of Year you will be an ambassador for the New Forest Way and work with the Assistant Principal to ensure excellent student behaviour, attendance and personal development across the year group.
- You will lead strategies for removing barriers to learning and support the development of the school’s behaviour for learning policies.
- Combining a teaching role with Head of Year responsibilities demands exceptional organisational and time‑management skills, balancing effective classroom instruction with proactive pastoral care for the year group.
Qualifications
- You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, have strong subject knowledge in English, Maths or Geography, excellent classroom management skills and a passion for the subject.
- A proven track record of improving pupils’ education and an understanding of what constitutes high‑quality teaching are essential.
- Experience levels from first‑year to seasoned teachers are welcome.
