Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Fixed term to August 2027
Salary: NJC 5-7 £21,906‑£22,608 (Actual) £25,583‑£26,403 (FTE) + well‑being cash plan, pension scheme (LGPS) and additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Responsibilities
- Improve learning and attainment of students while promoting their independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.
- Supervise classroom activities and play.
- Support small‑group interventions and 1:1 support.
- Encourage curiosity, independence and a love of play and outdoor learning.
- Be a compassionate, warm and friendly face to children and parents.
Qualifications
- Motivation and enthusiasm.
- Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assisting or an equivalent preferred.
- EYFS experience.
- Skills to help children develop independent learning skills.
- Ability to deliver individual and small‑group targeted interventions.
- Proactive and willing to complete CPD training.
- Phonics experience is advantageous.
