Salary: NJC 7 £26,403 to NCJ 11 FTE £28,142 + wellbeing cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

School: Lift Ryde, Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle Of Wight, PO33 3LN

Hours: Full time, term time, plus 5 Inset Days (07:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 14:30 Fridays)

This is a lovely term-time only job working in a friendly school - perfect for parents wanting the holidays off with their children.

Your new school Lift Ryde, based on the Isle of Wight, is an 11 to 18 years secondary school and is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country. The school is set in spacious grounds and had a completely new state of the art building in 2017. All staff have access to a free on site gym with a range of fantastic equipment. Judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022, Lift Ryde is a school that pupils feel proud to attend, with a calm and orderly environment. Staff are also proud to work at the school and recognise that leaders are considerate of their workload.

Your new role:

  • Take daily absence calls from staff up to the 07:00 deadline each day and record absences using reporting systems.
  • Organise planned and unplanned cover for absent staff using the school Management Information System.
  • Be responsible for the booking of supply teachers through agencies as required.
  • Cover reception predominantly in the afternoons, but also at other times when required.
  • Carry out other duties including break/lunch duties, assisting with the administration of trips.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role in an office environment with good IT skills.
  • Organised and adaptable with good Administrative skills and knowledge and use of general office equipment.
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and a passion for working with and supporting children.
