Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary. This role involves supervising lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining positive behaviour and supporting students to remain focused and engaged in their learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences
  • Delivering lesson materials prepared by teaching staff
  • Lead super cover alongside a second member of staff
  • Maintaining a positive and orderly classroom environment
  • Supporting students to stay on task and complete work to the best of their ability
  • Supporting students with SEND and helping to implement EHCP and IEP targets where appropriate
  • Recording attendance accurately and reporting any concerns
  • Providing feedback to teachers regarding student progress, engagement and behaviour
  • Liaising with pastoral teams regarding student welfare concerns
  • Supporting wider academy activities, including student supervision and enrichment opportunities

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Holds GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualifications
  • Has experience working with children and young people
  • Can build positive and productive relationships with students
  • Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Is calm, resilient and adaptable in a fast‑paced school environment
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Has excellent organisational skills and can manage competing priorities
