SIPS Education Catering Services are looking to recruit a dedicated Unit Catering Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the school. Under the direction of the Area Manager, assist with the management and provision of school meals to a consistent standard. You will use your skills to ensure that a quality, customer focused, and cost-effective service is delivered that meets all Statutory requirements. The post is a 25 hours Monday - Friday term-time contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cooking meals from fresh ingredients in line with specific menu guidelines
  • Managing and motivating a Team
  • Undertake all administrative duties associated to the kitchen
  • Ensuring food Hygiene and Health and safety guidelines are adhered to
  • Relationship Management with stakeholders
  • Travel to all SIPS contracts

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in a quality catering environment, with specific experience in a special education setting
  • Excellent people skills, able to lead and develop a team
  • Passion about food and customer service
  • Knowledge and understanding of food allergens and special diets
  • Superb culinary skills
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • High standards and be quality driven
  • Excellent organisational & communication skills
  • A "Can do" attitude

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
