The Role: We are seeking a senior practitioner (with a minimum of 8 years PQE+) and real estate lawyer to lead and manage our Agriculture and Rural Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, with a strong background in rural and agricultural property work to head up The Team which is ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers. Our Rural Services offering is well established, with colleagues across the firm providing sector specific expertise in Real Estate, Corporate, Wills Trusts & Estates, Employment and Dispute Resolution and whilst the Partner level candidate we are seeking must be Real Estate focused, the wider Role is as Head of The Team across the firm. This role offers a rare opportunity for an ambitious candidate to take the lead with the ability to shape, mould and drive the team forward.
Key Duties Will Include:
- Leading Sintons Agriculture and Rural Services offering
- Directly supervising and working closely with 2 year PQE Rural property lawyer
- Strategic planning for the Team
- Business Development In Respect Of Fee Earning Work
- Sale and purchase of estates, farms, forestry, and rural land
- Advising on rural development projects, including housing and renewables
- Drafting and negotiating lease and option agreements
- Agricultural tenancies creation, variation, and termination
- Rural lettings including residential, commercial, and sporting leases
- Handling title issues, boundary disputes, and voluntary registration
- Advising on land use, overage agreements, and rural business structures
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual and a leader, who can lead the team strategically and drive it forward with a strong proactive approach to business development. They must have significant experience of agricultural and property rural transactions, with strong client facing experience and excellent communication skills.
