SingleStore is growing our Sales Development team, and we’re looking for hungry, motivated sales development professionals. The SDR team at SingleStore uses outbound prospecting tactics to generate opportunities for our sales team(s). Business development representatives are assigned to account-based territories for commercial, enterprise, and strategic target accounts. This team is a keen group with high business acumen and a hunter's mentality, comfortable generating their own leads.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Generate a qualified sales pipeline for SingleStore targeted accounts ($100M - 1BN in annual revenue)
- Actively prospect using phone, email, and social media; 50:50 split between outbound and inbound
- Partner with up to 4 Account Executives on account plans and prospecting strategies
- Identify key account stakeholders to generate opportunities for SingleStore
- Maintain open communication and alignment with Account Executives and management
- Quickly gain a strong understanding of the SingleStore value proposition and the database industry landscape (prior data experience is a plus)
- Consistently achieve/exceed the monthly quota of qualified opportunities and meaningful interactions with new prospects
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years of SDR (Inbound), or BDR experience in the software industry preferred
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to become an expert on database management systems (DBMS) within your first 90 days
- Proven track record of running high-volume outbound cadences via phone, email, and social media
- Proven track record of achieving measurable lead and pipeline goals; references preferred
- Formal sales training is a plus
- Required to be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays for pipeline generation days with the team and overall training
