As a Housing Advice Worker, you will be part of Single Homeless Project’s Pan London Housing Advice and Interventions Service, delivered in partnership with St Mungo’s and the Ministry of Justice. Your role supports people on probation to sustain or secure safe housing, helping them navigate the challenges that risk homelessness and housing crises.

Responsibilities

  • Hold a caseload and complete strengths‑based assessments.
  • Explore housing, financial, employment and wider support needs.
  • Build practical plans that turn pressure and uncertainty into clear next steps.
  • Identify risks and safeguarding concerns and keep accurate case records.
  • Liaise with housing providers, specialist agencies, probation, police and other partners.
  • Support clients to sustain current accommodation or secure new housing where needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in supported housing, floating support or a relevant qualification.
  • Working knowledge of housing legislation.
  • Strong partnership skills and ability to build relationships with agencies and services.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and balance competing priorities.
  • Empathy and commitment to a human‑centred, high‑quality service.

Working Environment

This is a Monday to Friday role based in Brent, with work connecting into designated London boroughs. You will collaborate closely with Probation Services and other multi‑agency partners, in a friendly, supportive, high‑performing team.
