Singh & Jones are working with an innovative and forward-thinking Design Consultancy, who have a wealth of experience within design and engineering of SFS, Light Gauge Steel Framing, Structural Steelwork (Hot Rolled) and Modular Build projects across the UK. My client is a £20m turnover business with offices in the West Midlands, London and Cyprus. Due to expansion, they're keen to recruit x2 Home Based Project Draughtsman for their ever-growing design team.
The role will report directly to the Commercial Director and your duties will include:
- The Steel Draughtsman will produce Tekla/Auto CAD models from client’s drawings for the production of preliminary material lists, fabrication and fitting drawings.
- Producing modular volumetric designs.
- Ensuring that all models and drawings are delivered in line with project fabrication programme.
- Checking your own work to ensure all modelling and drawings are produced to the highest of standards and quality.
- Attending Site Surveys.
- Working as part of a team and providing support to other members of the Drawing Office and other departments as required for the successful delivery of projects.

Having a background in steel detailing with a core focus on Modular build would be advantageous. The role will have the flexibility to be home-based as a Project Draughtsman, with occasional office travel potentially once a week.
