Job Summary
As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering effective HR services and support across the business. You will provide expert advice to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
- Manage HR queries timely and effectively
- Monitor and maintain absence records, identifying trends or areas of concern
- Coordinate staff changes in pay and conditions and leavers administration, including conducting exit interviews
- Manage employee benefits schemes, including pension, health insurance and commission/bonus arrangements
- Handle employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence matters
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives and strategic goals
- Coordinate performance management processes and provide coaching where necessary
- Assist with HR reporting, data analysis, and compliance tracking
- Support the end‑to‑end recruitment process including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing, offer letters, and onboarding
- Support the delivery of learning and development activities
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing programmes
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
- Adopt a proactive, can‑do attitude, identifying opportunities for change and business improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3–4 years in an HR advisory or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
- Coaching and mediation experience
- Experience in a fast‑paced or high‑growth environment
