As an HR Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the UK team, ensuring the smooth running of the employee lifecycle. This role plays a key part in maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment processes, supporting payroll administration, and assisting with HR projects in compliance with UK employment legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records on HR systems and personnel files.
  • Prepare HR documentation such as contracts of employment, offer letters, and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process (e.g. induction materials, exit interviews, reference requests).
  • Monitor probationary periods and contract renewals.
  • Post job adverts and manage applicant tracking.
  • Schedule interviews and liaise with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Conduct right-to-work checks and ensure compliance with UK immigration requirements.
  • Provide accurate HR data to payroll each month.
  • Maintain records for annual leave, sickness, and other absences.
  • Support the administration of benefits such as pensions, health schemes, or salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Support HR in responding to general employee queries and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and UK employment law requirements.
  • Support HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, learning and development tracking, or wellbeing programmes.
  • Produce regular HR reports (e.g. headcount, absence, turnover).

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in an HR administrative or generalist role
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards)
  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
